The AnaBat™ Bat Detector simplifies bat monitoring. All you need to make remote recordings of bat calls is in one easy to use unit. The calls picked up by the AnaBat™ Bat Detector can be written to a Compact Flash card within the unit for later analysis on a PC.
No more bulky recording devices, relay switches, cables, etc. in the field, so you can focus on the job at hand. Easily adapted, the AnaBat™ Bat Detector system is packed with features so you get exactly what you want from the data recorded.
The SD2 model features several new additions for customer convenience:
The AnaBat™ SD2 Bat Detector also features a voice recorder, selectable audio and data division ratios, low battery indicator, audio mute and calibration tone and more.
Titley Scientific’s AnaLookW™ sound analysis software program is included in your AnaBat™SD2 Bat Detector purchase to produce sonograms from your recordings. Comprehensive user manuals and a USB cable connection are also included.
Batteries, CF memory card and CF Reader not included.
The AnaBat™ Bat Detector uses a Compact Flash (CF) memory card to store bat call data. As a rough guide, a 512MB card could store about 2 months worth of data. The serial number of each AnaBat™ Bat Detector is embedded in the stored data in order to identify which detector recorded what data.
The exact position of a bat call can be simultaneously recorded by connecting a global positioning system (GPS) to the AnaBat™ Bat Detector.
An internal real time clock keeps track of the date and time bat call data is recorded.
Using the real time clock the AnaBat™ Bat Detector can be programmed to 'wake up’ at a specified date and time, conserving battery power until the detector is required.
Similarly, the AnaBat™ Bat Detector can be programmed to monitor for bat calls between certain hours (e.g. 6 to 11pm). Again, this allows you to conserve battery power when remotely recording bat activity.
Model STI (standard microphone), optional Hi-Mic (for use on extension cables), optional Lo-Mic (for low frequency bats)
The AnaBat™ Bat Detector can be powered from either 4 internal 'AA' size batteries (suitable for overnight or shorter term use) or a 12V external battery for extended use in the field
The AnaBatTM Bat Detector can be connected to a PDA or laptop computer to produce real-time sonograms of detected calls. This unique feature helps you to rapidly and accurately identify bats in the field.
The AnaBatTM Bat Detector also features a voice recorder, selectable audio and data division ratios, low battery indicator, audio mute and calibration tone and more.
