AnaBat CF Storage ZCAIM

The AnaBat CF Storage ZCA Interface Module uses Compact Flash memory cards to store bat call data. When used in conjunction with the AnaBat II Bat Detector, the CF Storage ZCAIM eliminates the need to have computers, tape recorders, delay switches, timers, large batteries, and bulky cables in the field environment. It is also ideally suited to the implementation of passive long term monitoring. Memory capacity is almost limitless, depending on the capacity of the CF card used.

Timer facilities are incorporated into the unit so that it can be programmed to switch on and off at selected times, simultaneously switching the Bat Detector on and off as well. A Global Positioning System (GPS) unit can be connected to the ZCAIM to enable continuous storage of GPS trackpoints onto the CF card simultaneously with bat call data. Any GPS unit outputting standard NMEA sentences at 4800 baud should be useable. The ZCAIM's output can alternatively be interfaced through this same computer connection (serial port) directly into a PC, to produce real time sonograms.

The software for reading and extracting data from the CF card is compatible with computers using any of the Windows operating systems from Windows 95 onward.
