Weather Station 1000 (WS1)

The WS1 is a complete self contained, solar powered weather station that receives data from local plug-in sensors and also remote field sensors via radio telemetry as required.

Its diverse data recorder accommodates several options for remote control and data access via GSM and NextG Mobile (cell) phone services.

The system can be set to deliver data ‘direct to web’ at regular intervals and the user can also dial into the logger to retrieve data, reconfigure settings or change SMS alarms.

System Configuration & Features;

• Vaisala WXT520 Weather Transmitter: includes sensors to measure wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, rain duration, rain intensity, barometric pressure, air temperature and relative humidity
• Solar Radiation sensor
• mTech Data Recorder: accommodates up to 100 sensors. Will read three SDI-12 devices, has two counters and four voltage or current inputs
• mTech Software: provides easy to use communication functions and data analysis. Data can also be transferred into most commonly used packages such as Excel
• Alarm functions via GSM short message service (SMS)
• Field Ready Unit (FRU): Includes IP66 weather proof enclosure, SAM10 Mobile Modem, solar panel, battery, regulator, antenna and mounting kit
• Mast and Mounting Brackets
• (Optional) Intelligent Probe Controller (IPC): Allows remote collection of data from SDI-12, RS232, RS485, voltage and counter devices. IPC to recorder communication can be either direct connection, 433MHz or 900MHz spread spectrum radios
