The F3 has been designed for use with nets and vertical trap or pot lines where the incidental entanglement of migrating Humpback whales occurs.
In Queensland, Australia, the Department of Primary industries and Fisheries commissioned Fumunda to design the F3 low frequency Pinger in an effort to reduce Humpback whale entanglements in the QLD Governments Shark Control netting program.
The F3 may be employed wherever commercial fishing gear lies in the path of migrating Humpback whales.
