Fumunda TF Light
Collaborating with researchers, Fumunda has designed a commercial fishing light designed to minimise turtle attraction.
The primary market is the commercial long line fishing industry, where the unintended capture of turtles is a challenge.
The TF (Turtle Free) works by focusing light in a downwards direction away from surface feeding turtles. The TF light operates with a “flicker rate” of >16 Hz, is effective in deterring approaching turtles.
