Australis 26k

The Australis 26k™ Scanning Receiver is a sophisticated, lightweight, and portable tracking instrument. Known and preferred worldwide for its illuminated liquid crystal display (LCD) for night time use, fast-charge capability and durability.

The Australis 26k™ comes with a heavy-duty leather case allowing it to easily be carried around the neck or from a belt. The battery pack consists of rechargeable NiCad batteries that have an operating life of around 14 hours before requiring a recharge of four hours at fast charge rate. Spare rechargeable battery packs are available, as is a battery holder to facilitate use of dry cells if desired.

The Australis 26k™ is capable of detecting signals over four adjacent frequency bands, and has the ability to automatically scan through up to 100 transmitter frequencies. This is an invaluable feature when tracking a number of animals. The Australis 26k™ can also be used in the normal manual mode, if preferred, searching for one transmitter at a time.

Features

Headset audio outputs: Two 3.5mm phone jacks, one disables the loud speaker.
Memory retention: Memory is retained while receiver is switched off and while battery packs are changed
Low battery: Indicator
External socket: Data logging & remote control
Display: A graphic type liquid crystal display approximately 18mm x 60mm is used to display all frequency, signal strength and mode data. The display is a 32 x 122 dot array. It has LED back lighting which can be switched on for night viewing.
