Titley Scientific’s RF Data logs the presence or absence of your tagged animals via active or passive monitoring.
Compatible with the Australis 26K™ Scanning Receiver, the unit can scan for up to 100 transmitters, recording date, time, pulse rate and pulse width each time it registers a transmitter entering or leaving reception range.
User-friendly software is included which allows the researcher to specify dwell time on each frequency, pulse count thresholds and even listening station I.D.
The RF Data Logger is powered through the Australis 26K™ Scanning Receiver, which can itself be powered externally by solar cells or similar for long-term monitoring. Alternatively, the logger may be powered from an external 12V DC supply.
The detection and logging configurations can be easily changed for your specific needs via the easy-to –use PC software.
Features include the ability to name transmitters, adjust pulse count thresholds (specified number of pulses to be received on one frequency before the transmitter is deemed to be present), adjust listening time on each frequency, record signal strength and identify which listening station logged the data.
Software can be configured to log data continuously (rather than beginning and end time of detection) to provide a record of temperature when temperature-sensitive transmitters are used.
