Wildlife research and conservation

Titley Electronics has been devoted to wildlife research, conservation, and animal tracking for over twenty five years. The company’s range of telemetry equipment, custom suited for animal tracking and research, includes scanning receivers, transmitters, and antennae – all designed to facilitate wildlife research and conservation.

Our transmitters are custom-made to suit a customer’s specific requirements. Each transmitter is configured with a battery size, attachment method, and packaging style appropriate for a particular animal, with the safety and well being of the animal being of paramount importance. The smallest glue-on LTM single stage transmitter complete with battery, weighs only 400 milligrams, and has a battery life of 10–12 days. The transmitters then increase progressively in size and weight, with increased battery lives, out to our largest size, extra heavy duty transmitter and collar (suitable for buffalo and the largest of creatures), that has a battery life of 4–5 years.

We currently have two receivers in our line-up of telemetry electronics, both of which offer extreme sensitivity, high gain, and low noise.

Complementing our receivers is a line-up of seven directional antennae and accessories. Clearly our goal is to provide tracking solutions and complete custom designed packages for essentially any kind of animal study.
